This is where it all starts to get a bit more real!

You are here because you have an interest in either volunteering with this great community radio project. Whether that is as a volunteer in the background, making an equally important contribution, or as a presenter sharing your musical passion and finding your voice.

Rockingham Radio will provide an educational opportunity for everyone, young and old. If you are looking for new skills, a potential career in media and arts or a change of scenery and a new experience the Developing Skills for Community Radio is a qualification you can take away with you and will give you the confidence in front of others, in work and in your personal life, too.

As a Community Interest Company, we operate as a “not for profit” organisation but we do have costs to cover. In order to deliver what we have set out to do and make a difference for people in the community we will operate a subscription-based model as well as having voluntary positions but don’t be put off by that because we have a very flexible approach to making this work for everyone.

If you fit into any of these categories, there’s an opportunity and a package for all.

Long term unemployed
Solo presenters
Collectives/Groups of presenters

Don’t be shy. Complete the enquiry form on this page and we will get in touch to discuss how we can support you to support your community.

Oh, just one more thing. You don’t have to be based in or around Wath upon Dearne. Wherever your community is, there’s an opportunity to pay something back on community radio.

We look forward to speaking with you and getting you on air with Rockingham Radio.
